STRAW and CGHS Native Plant Nursery

Clark Miller of the Argus Courier published his article today on the Native Plant Nursery that John Shribbs, current PWA President,  created at Casa Grande High School while he was a teacher there and now taken over by STRAW, Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed, a unit of Pt. Native plant nursery awaits high school students

STRAW is currently planting native grasses and herbs on the southern bank of the dike facing ECWRF, Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility.

STRAW is also now working with ReLeaf Petaluma, a new local nonprofit that John is working, to plant native trees in Petaluma. Oak seedlings will be started at the nursery to develop container trees for planting in the future.
