I finally pulled my kayak out of the garage, tried it out on Petaluma River, and want to take it out more often for exercise and nature serenity, so decided to come up with a way to haul it the 2 mile distance with human power instead of using my carbon spewing truck. I bought an electric trail bike which I now like better than my fancy road bike and then built a wood trailer to haul behind the ebike. Turns out I can use the trailer for hauling other stuff including my gardening gear I use in community gardens and at CGHS OLE project (Outdoor Learning Environment). 
 
I produced a video from MS PowerPoint slide show program on how I constructed the trailer:
