We will explore the changing perspectives and environment of local California Indians from a Tribal point of view of historical, social, political and research perspectives.

Speaker: Nick Tipon

                          Nick Tipon is a member and elder of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria. He has served as Chairman of the Tribal Education Committee and Chairman of the Sacred Sites Protection Committee. He is a Board member of the California Mission Foundation and the Historical Society of Santa Rosa, was an  archaeological monitor for the Tribe.  He was born and raised in Santa Rosa, and worked in local schools for 33 years.
